The Tongue Fu band are astonishing musicians who do live improvisation with poets. It really was ‘a dream come true’ to play with them.
I wrote this poem for a friend’s footie-mad daughter (aged 10). It celebrates The Lionesses, and all the women who struggled over the last 70 years so today’s women and girls can play football.
I worked on the New Forest exhibition “Pathways from Protest to Purpose’. with the brilliant visual artist Jo Nurse. https://drjonurseartist.com/about/ This poem celebrates people working together to tackle the Climate Emergency.

Here’s a poem celebrating local communities used in a news piece by Meridien TV.

A poem published in the online journal ‘ iamnotasilentpoet ‘
We Don’t Speak
We don’t speak Kalashnikov
though our mouths fill with blood
we don’t speak grenade
though fear clothes our skin
we don’t speak slaughter
though we see your blind hatred
read the braille of all our hands joining
the padding morse of our determined tears.
WE. WILL. ALWAYS. WIN
